Engravings are a major source of character power in Lost Ark, granting build-enabling boons when active. Obtaining the best Engravings for your class is a massive time and Gold sink, one that can get exponentially worse if you end up chasing the wrong Engravings. Time is money in MMOs, and Lost Ark is no different. Before you start fracturing ability stones and dismantling jewelry, be sure that the Engravings you're chasing are worth using for your build. The best Engravings vary for each class, so check out our Lost Ark hub to see what your class' best Engravings are.

Whenever this happens, unspec out of a particular skill and put your points into your new skill. Related to this tip, be sure that you're unlocking and using skill Tripods. Check out our Tripod guide for more information about this system.

Lost Ark doesn't feature the traditional holy trinity of classes—DPS, healer, and tank. Tanks aren't really a thing in Lost Ark, and there are only two support classes in the NA/EU version (Paladin and Bard). Support classes are in hot demand in just about every server, so if you just want to pick a class that is highly valued at endgame, play a Bard or Paladin. If you want to play as a DPS, look for a class that mechanically or stylistically jives with you. There aren't any DPS comparisons or anything you need to worry about.

The Paladin and Bard are equally as powerful in Lost Ark's endgame and see equal use for most activities. In general, the Bard is better at healing than the Paladin, but the Paladin's skills are slightly easier to use. Bards rely heavily on their Identity skill and short-range skills to buff their allies, leading to more decision-making in combat. Paladins have much forgiving support skills, on average covering a larger radius when compared to the Bard. This class might have less punchy heals than the Bard, yet Paladin is the only support class in NA/EU that can cleanse debuffs.

Stats aren't massively important during your first T1 Dungeons. You can clear a lot of content with a reliable gear set and enough AoE damage. However, to get speedy with your clearances, opt for a Crit focus for your stats. This is because of the Sharpshooter's general inclination toward Crit, especially with their skill Tripods we've listed above.

As we've mentioned before, Stats aren't 100% crucial to a successful Dungeon clearing build with the Deadeye. Just go for Anime Game collectibles a focus in Specialization to get the most out of your Enhanced Weapon class Engraving, and you'll be fine. We go over some more of the advanced stats stuff in our Raid build guide, as this is where things get trickier.

Your Stronghold is more than a player home in Lost Ark. Unlocked around level 25, this area serves as a base of operations that can craft battle items, unlock useful bonuses, and even complete endgame activities for you (albeit with fewer rewards). Be sure to use your life skills to gather materials for your Stronghold, and always have your Stronghold buildings actively progressing something.

For this Dungeon build, we rely on the Enhanced Weapon Engraving , which, at level 3, increases your damage when you change stances and improves crit rate. We'll go into more detail on Engravings below.

You've got a choice between the two Awakening skills here - Bursting Flare or Clay Bombardment. Both are viable. Bursting Flare is probably more popular because it's a bit easier to land all the damage, and it has a lot more stagger in comparison.

You're not really a DPS or support when you play the Gunlancer, but rather this big, solo-friendly, beginner-friendly class that might just be the perfect fit for a brand new Lost Ark player. Here's our class breakd

The Deadeye is all about hitting back attacks with his Shotgun for big crit damage and then rotating out with Pistol and Rifle abilities. The skill build below requires 260 points , though you can mix and match depending on how many skill points you have available.

The western version of Lost Ark has added Engraving recipes to certain side quest rewards , drastically reducing the T1 Engraving grind for those who complete these quests. You can choose to avoid every side quest in Lost Ark to level quickly, but at least check what the side quest rewards are before disregarding them. If you see an Engraving recipe as a reward, it's worth taking an extra few minutes to complete the quest. Future you will be grateful you did.

Shotguns are your main source of damage. Make sure you're rotating into the shotgun regularly to get your priority damage off. These abilities are BACK ATTACKS, which means you need to be stood right up behind the boss and blasting your shotguns away.
