My journey with Lost Ark has been a long one. I first saw the Anime Game Character Guide appear back in 2018 with a four-minute CG trailer that looks nothing like Smilegate’s MMOARPG today. The game was then released in Korea at the end of 2019, and like other eager players, I followed the news about the game’s release in the West . Three years later, the game is finally getting Western European, North American, and South American servers. At last, I am free from the terrible ping on the Russian server and squinting at the Cyrillic alphabet trying to figure out which ability is which.

Later, once you start dishing out stats between different pieces of gear, you want Crit as primary and Specialization as secondary, just to get your Hawk up again and provide debuffs/damage. We cover this in more detail in our Sharpshooter Raid build.

Unlike Chaos Dungeons, this activity highly encourages players to find a team. Clearing a Guardian Raid solo is not recommended. Build some flares from your Stronghold, bring your best gear, and prepare to hunt a giant monster.

Considering the popularity of the Mayhem Engraving build in the current meta, you should use these Engravings alongside to get the most out of your build. These are always subject to change and the balance meta of Lost Ark does change, albeit fairly infrequen

Guardian Raids are unlocked upon reaching level 50 and completing the "Guardian Raid Qualification Certificate" guide quest. You can find the quest in North Vern. If it's not available to you, be sure you've finished the Chaos Dungeon guide quest. To queue for a Guardian Raid, head to the minimap icon that looks like a red banner in any major city.

Stats aren't massively important during your first T1 Dungeons. You can clear a lot of content with a reliable gear set and enough AoE damage. However, to get speedy with your clearances, opt for a Crit focus for your stats. This is because of the Sharpshooter's general inclination toward Crit, especially with their skill Tripods we've listed above.

Lost Ark's Paladin class—otherwise known as the Holy Knight—is one of two support roles in the game, matched only by the Bard. The class is valuable in both PvP and PvE content and is one of the more reliable classes to pick up and play for your first run through the game.

Progressing through Lost Ark's endgame is no easy task. A plethora of activities and progression systems can confuse newcomers and downright frustrate veterans. Fortunately, one of the most reliable sources of jewelry and upgrade materials is Guardian Raids, one of Lost Ark's staple endgame activities.

Blessed Aura enhances the Paladin's Holy Aura with two additional benefits: damage reduction and healing. This makes your Holy Aura a powerhouse in terms of support capabilities, making this a must-have Engraving for just about every Paladin build in Lost Ark.

If you've got the space for a fifth Engraving (you won't at the start, check out our Engravings guide if you need more info on that) then grab the other Sharpshooter class Engraving, Loyal Companion. It provides a solid boost to your Hawk gauge (+30%) as well as extra movement speed and damage.

Stat Focus For The Sharpshooter Dungeon Build

The Paladin and Bard are equally as powerful in Lost Ark's endgame and see equal use for most activities. In general, the Bard is better at healing than the Paladin, but the Paladin's skills are slightly easier to use. Bards rely heavily on their Identity skill and short-range skills to buff their allies, leading to more decision-making in combat. Paladins have much forgiving support skills, on average covering a larger radius when compared to the Bard. This class might have less punchy heals than the Bard, yet Paladin is the only support class in NA/EU that can cleanse debuffs.

Mayhem allows you to have a permanent rage mode. You take a lot less damage, but your health is also reduced by a massive 75%. This turns the Berserker into a much, much squishier class. Dungeons are all about clearing content as quickly as possible. This content can be completed by a solo player. Raids are a bit more involved and require the learning of mechanics and balanced party composition. Some Abyss Raids are really, really hard, and you'll need a coordinated team to complete them. PvP is very involved with a high skill ceiling for many of the classes. There’s a ranked ladder and casual play. All gear is equalized in PvP. No pay-to-win. No unnecessary grinding is needed. Think of League of Legends but encased in a fast-paced 3v3 arena. With a decent ping, the game is responsive and sharp. Maxed out frames on my 3070 pretty much constantly, even when the screen is totally full of chaotic ability animations and spell effects.
