Rute J. Macedo de Araújo, PhD

Clinical and Experimental Optometry Research Lab (CEORLab), University of Minho, Portugal
PhD in Optometry and Vision Sciences (University of Minho - Braga, Portugal). Invited lecturer in Department of Physics of University of Minho and research assistant at Clinical and Experimental Optometry Research Lab (CEORLab) since 2013. Her investigation is focused on contact lenses, mainly scleral lens fitting for visual rehabilitation, but also optical quality of the human eye, electrophysiological response of the human retina and light disturbance analysis. She has several publications in peer-review ISI journals, is author of several communications in national and international conferences and is co-author of a book chapter.

Martin Conway

Martin Conway has over 40 years’ experience in the contact lens field as a qualified Contact Lens Optician. He is registered with the UK General Optical Council on the Speciality Contact Lens Register. He is a fellow of the British Contact Lens Association (FBCLA), and The International Association of Contact Lens Educators (FIACLE).
He was General Manager for Barnes Hind/Hydrocurve, and has served in the Professional Services role as an educator and clinical adviser on behalf of both Sauflon and CIBA, and now acts as Professional Services Consultant for Contamac Ltd. at their headquarters in Saffron Walden. He has lectured extensively in Europe, Asia, Russia, North and South America and the Middle East. He still practices, specialising in fitting irregular corneae.

Thibaud SYRE

Thibaud SYRE est cofondateur d'AlpesVision, centre d’optométrie avancée basée à Grenoble spécialisé dans les lentilles de contact sur mesure. Expert reconnu en orthokératologie et lentilles sclérales, il est membre actif de plusieurs associations, dont l’Association Française des Experts en Lentilles de Contact, la Scleral Lens Education Society et l’European Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.

Passionné par la conception de géométries personnalisées pour les lentilles rigides, il agit comme consultant pour divers fabricants. Conférencier, il aime partager les dernières connaissances et innovations lors des principaux congrès francophones.
